The Rocking In the Norselands book is a gold mine of stories, facts, and anecdotes from the frequently crazy but always interesting world of rock’n’roll!

The book is available in a limited print run of 100 individually numbered copies. Once they’re gone, they’re gone! Books are sold in order of order arrival.

PRICE

The book itself costs NOK 550. On 22 June 2024 this roughly equalled £41.2 / €48.7 / $52. 

Shipping quotes are also given in NOK below, along with a total sum including the book. I think it will be best to have people do their own currency conversions around their time of purchase, as currencies will fluctuate but the NOK prices will stand firm.

POSTAGE

Largely, Norwegian post services operates with three regions: Norway, Europe, and Rest of World.

Norway:

  • The best option: if you know me, live in a general proximity, or plan to visit my area, we can arrange a personal handover. Place an order, specifying “Personal handover” under the Postage option field. We’ll take it from there.
  • Alternativ 1: PostNord (Liten pakke, inkl. tracking): P&P 90,- (Total: NOK 640,-)
  • Alternativ 2: Posten Norge (Liten Norgespakke, ingen tracking): P&P NOK 90,- (Total: NOK 640,-)
  • Payment options: Vipps or normal bank transfer.

Europe (including UK):

  • Alternative 1 (all of Europe): Posten Norge, basic shipment, no tracking: NOK 200,- (Total: NOK 750)
  • Alternative 2 (all of Europe): Posten Norge, shipment including tracking: NOK 270,- (Total: NOK 820) (Please check if your country is eligible.)
  • Payment options: Bank transfer or Paypal. Finland/Denmark can also use Vipps (Sweden follows in the fall).

Rest of World:

  • Alternative 1: Posten Norge, basic shipment, no tracking: NOK 240,- (Total: NOK 790)
  • Alternative 2: Posten Norge, registered mail: NOK 610,- (Total: NOK 1160,-)
  • Payment options: Bank transfer or Paypal.

PAYMENT

Payment to be received in Norwegian Crowns (NOK). Most payment systems allows you to set receiver currency and pay in your own.

You can pay me through Bank transfer, Vipps, or Paypal – whichever you prefer. If you like Bank transfer, I will send you the info you/your bank needs to get it done. If you use Paypal please consider the Friends & Family option.

SENDING THE BOOKS

Books will be sent from Norselands HQ in batches every 2-3 days. I will let you know when it’s on the way. If tracking is part of the set-up (depending on your region and/or shipping option) I’ll send you those details then, too.

If anyone is interested in more than one copy of the book, that is certainly possible, although something I simply haven’t considered yet. Just place an order in the form below as normal, and let me know in the “Comments” field to privide a quote for shipping X number of books. I’ll investigate and you can make up your mind then.

I have looked into several shipping services beyond the ones mentioned above. Well-known international options like DHL and FedEx aren’t on the list because their price levels are far beyond reasonable. Suffice to say, their operations in Norway are less for common use and more high-end product for special goods. I will keep looking and may add further options later, but given the size of book we’re working with here, IMO the basic options aren’t too bad.

DISCLAIMER ON MISSING SHIPMENTS/DAMAGED GOODS

Statistically, there is a chance that some orders could go missing or be banged up in transit. That would sadden me greatly, as I want nothing more than for you to receive your books as safely as possible. Unfortunately, I am no big (or even a small) business. This project is an idealist’s folly, not any kind of money making endeavour. Consequently, due to limited printing numbers and the overall levels of investment, I am simply not able to replace lost or damaged books or shoulder the financial burden if something happens to your book in transit on its way to you. For this reason, if you are concerned about this, I have added a few shipping options that include tracking, registered shipment, different carriers, etc. With these kind of options added, things get expensive quickly, though. I have not even included shipment insurance, as this is so expensive that I wouldn’t recommend it.

I will certainly do anything I can to help investigate any situation that should arise from my end, but I can not take any responsibility or carry any obligation for the book after it has been shipped from me. If you don’t agree with this, I respect that, but in that case you should not order the book. Placing an order means that you understand and accept this disclaimer. Thank you for understanding!

You will be contacted on this address with payment details.
Needed for me to register the delivery in the mail system. Depending on your local post service, you might also receive SMS updates with package statuses and be contacted by your courier about final delivery.
Anything goes! A greeting, lyric lines, quotes, dedications to yourself or someone else, declarations of love or appreciation… whatever strikes your fancy! As long as you specify the actual words you want me to write, I’m game. (If your instructions are unspecific about what you actually want me to write, I reserve the right to make it into a short thank you. If this field is empty, I will add nothing.)
It is assumed that your book will be shipped using the earliest applicable numbered alternative for your region (i.e. the most basic basic/least expensive shipping option). If you want one of the others, list your alternative here. (Or list the basic one in any case, just to be sure!) I will in any case confirm the shipping method, including amount, when I come back to you with a final confirmation and total payment.
Some territories have a couple of payment options listed. If so, which of them would you prefer to use?
